Does anyone have some good natural dog food recipes?

I have a Beagle (the smaller 13′ breed) and I was wondering if anyone had some good recipes for homemade dog food as it’s alot better for him than dry store bought.

any help would be great! :]

   Can dogs live healthy and active lives on vegetarian food? YES!

   There is no sence feeding your animal with other animals .

   You are right—ANYTHING is better than store bought food!! It is full of cheap, undigestable ingredients (corn, wheat, soy—and WORST of all–by-products). Also, anything you buy on a shelf–esp at grocery store is 6 – 18 MONTHS old! Yecch!

   I USED to bake treats for my dogs—then I learned about pet nutrition. MAINLY that corn, wheat and soy cause allergies in a LOT of dogs!!!

   Now, I ONLY feed a holistic food and the only treat I make are "doggy ice cream"—plain non fat yogurt, frozen in ice cube trays. They LOVE it!

   Boiled chicken and rice unseasoned.

   Unfortunately, making dog food is very difficult–for now, stick to the non-recalled brands. Try Animal Food Services or Nature's Variety raw food–animals love it and both brands were not part of the recall.

   I agree with the post before me … er second post before me, why would you turn a dog into a vegetarian?
   Raw food all the way!
   I feed my dogs raw meat (with bones still intact) with raw veggies and they have never been healthier, best thing I ever done for them!
   They poo less because there is nothing being wasted, it doesn't smell when they pass wind (well not much anyway) there coats shine, they gain muscle instead of flab …. I could go on, but you get the general idea.
   Also it is what they eat in the wild can't get a more natural diet.

   How do you know how much meat, vegetables, etc. a 55 lb. dog needs?
